As some of you know, Alex and I moved to Barcelona last year. We did this quickly, as our landlords decided it was time for us to depart way’s

After Brexit it’s much more difficult to get a VISA in Europe. The same as getting one from anywhere else.

Luckily, a woman from Lithuania I was already engaged to let me use her EU citizenship to get me here, and the easiest way of doing that was to get married before we moved, she had joked about only wanting to marry me for my British passport for years, turns out I needed hers more.

We created and hosted a wedding that was just going to be for 4 people at the local Uxbridge council for the next weekend. They didn’t have a slot for just 4 people so we had to go for the 20 person option. So we just invited friends and family from the area.

After 11 month’s of paperwork and travel I finally have my 5 year EU visa and residency in Spain.

What that means is, we didn’t get the opportunity to have a wedding and invite you all, or a stag do (lads) or a hen do.

So we want to make that right, now we are settled. So we are inviting you all to come from Friday 30th May - 1st June 2025

Two nights in Barcelona, the first as a stag and hen do (separately hopefully) and the second as a dinner and get together.

It’d be about 10 couples or 20 people, we’d love to take time to celebrate with you, something we couldn’t before, with people we wish we could have.

I’ve put flights and hotels below. The rest will be paid for by us of course, and please no presents, your presence and taking time to come and spending money to be here is more than enough.
